Bright mark on my frontosa

Happy fish now. Filters were terrible. Still a few particles but I'm sure that the filters will take care of that in a bit.

Cancel that I just found a video on how to clean my exact filter. Really cool that the valves close off on the hose when I disconnect.

Two things I do 80% water changes 10% is not going to do any impact. Second those filters seem light for a 150 not sure, I personally have had low luck with canister filters. I would do two large water changes 70% plus. Also salt can be used a general low risk tonic. Maybe add a flow pump to increase oxygen in the tank which the fronts will probably enjoy

A Pig and a Chicken are walking down the road. The Chicken says, "Pig, I was thinking we should open a restaurant!". Pig replies, "What would we call it?". The Chicken responds, "How about ham-n-eggs?" The Pig thinks for a moment and says, No thanks. I'd...

I wouldn't worry about the white spot. I'd do bigger water changes, get that free floating debris out. Check that your filters are flowing at max output, with good water movement, and maybe better pics and possible video. Clean water, will help that blemish.

150 gal. Bought off of either here or Craigslist. I had moved the filters with water from the tank. Tank was set up for years before the move. At my place for about 3-4 weeks, so should have had bacteria. Has about 12 yellow labs. 2 full grown frontosa (male and female) 2 large catfish 1 small silver catfish. 3 other fish that I haven't identified yet but they are about 3 inches and 2-3 plecos that I never ever see. Honestly I think I need about 20 more fish to get it a bit more crowded because right now everyone has way to much room to get too territorial.

How long has the tank been set up. Did you start the tank out with any beneficial bacteria or is it a new tank. How big is the tank, and how many fish in there. I don't clean my filters, just rinse the media with tank water. Tell us more about your tank.

C'mon guys I need your vast knowledge. Over 30 views and no response. I have two eheim filters. A pro 2 and a pro 3. I was looking at it today and the spray bars are a bit weak. Also I noticed that I have the pro 3 set up on the same side as the Wave maker. Maybe not the best idea since the bigger filter is on the same side as the wave maker. Means the current is severely handicapped to the left side of the tank. Maybe if I pull both filters clean them out a bit and switch the sides that they are on the water will clear up?

I came home from work today and my female frontosa had a mark on her. I'm new to fish is this just a scratch? Could have been the catfish or someone knocked over a piece of coral. Also, there are a lot of particles in the water. I do a water change and vacuum every weekend. I believe that the tank has been at my house for 3 weeks. So I did a 10% change and then a 40% change. Should I clean the filters? I shined a flash light in there, but I don't know what a dirty filter should look like.
